Why it’s important to have a Republican Attorney General—

This was illustrated by the case of Horne v. Flores. As many of you may recall, a federal judge fined Arizona $1 million a day, and then $2 million a day, to force taxpayers to spend more money on English Language Learners. Both Governor Napolitano and Attorney General Goddard, and much of the liberal establishment supported this outrageous lawsuit. I was the only party to appeal the decision. I represented the taxpayers: the Democrat Attorney General opposed the taxpayers. We ultimately won in the United States Supreme Court, saving the Arizona taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars.

Conservative principles that I have implemented while serving the people of Arizona:

• Established tough disciplinary standards and required character education for students
• Brought back traditional American history in schools and exposed the curriculum of “ethnic studies.”
• Promoted academic rigor and held schools, teachers and students accountable for results
• Voted as a legislator to reduce taxes, promote law enforcement and restrict abortions
• Permanently banned bi-lingual education

As Attorney General, I would be 100% committed to enforce any pro life bill that is or becomes law.  As a legislator, I voted to restrict abortion, including voting to ban partial birth abortion and to require parental consent (H.B. 2113 4/08/97; S.B. 1238 2/23/oo.).
